188 major telecom security incidents were reported across Europe in 2024. ENISA’s 2024 telecom security incident report recorded 188 incidents submitted by national authorities across 26 EU Member States and 2 EFTA countries — a 20.5% increase on the 156 incidents reported in 2023.

Ofcom received 625 telecom security and resilience incident reports in one year. Between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025, Ofcom received 625 incident reports from communications providers, including 616 resilience incidents and 9 cyber security incidents.
