The Marconi MHL-3000 is a high-capacity, carrier-grade optical transport platform designed for metro, regional, and long-haul networks. Built on dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology, the MHL-3000 provides scalable, multi-service transport capabilities—supporting a wide range of protocols including SDH/SONET, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and video services over a unified optical layer. Its modular and flexible design enables operators to cost-effectively expand bandwidth while maintaining reliable performance across point-to-point and ring topologies.
With support for data rates from 2.5 Gbps to 40 Gbps—and network reach up to 4,000 km—the MHL-3000 is ideal for demanding transport applications. It features a rich set of optical modules including transponders, muxponders, amplifiers, ROADMs, and dispersion compensators, enabling dynamic service provisioning and efficient use of fiber infrastructure. The platform is designed for high availability, with redundancy, low power consumption, and seamless network integration.
At Carritech, we continue to support the Marconi MHL-3000 by offering fully tested and refurbished equipment, module-level repairs, and expert technical assistance. Our extensive stock of spare parts and deep experience with legacy transport systems allow operators to maintain and optimise their MHL-3000 networks, ensuring service continuity and protecting long-term infrastructure investments.
