The Alcatel–Lucent 7330 ISAM (Intelligent Services Access Manager) is a compact, full-service IP access node designed for Fiber‑to‑the‑Node (FTTN) and small central office environments. The 19-inch rack-mountable shelf supports up to 10 slots for DSL, P2P fiber, and aggregation modules, making it an ideal solution for triple-play broadband delivery in cabinet or small CO deployments.
This platform supports VDSL2 with vectoring and pair bonding, enabling broadband speeds of 100 Mb/s and beyond, while also accommodating ADSL2+, SHDSL, and multi-DSL configurations across its module ecosystem.
The 7330 ISAM continues the legacy of the 7302 architecture by integrating subtending remote aggregation, allowing traffic from up to 24 shelf-based or sealed expansion modules to be aggregated through a hierarchical remote architecture.
With support for IP-based triple-play services, including IPTV, VoIP, and broadband internet access, the platform is built for delivering differentiated QoS and high service reliability within space-constrained environments. It delivers strong value for operators leveraging existing copper infrastructure with high-speed fiber aggregation paths.
Carritech supports the 7330 ISAM through global parts supply, professional servicing, and engineering support to help operators maintain and evolve their FTTN infrastructure.

The Alcatel 7330 ISAM is a high-performance IP access platform designed for deployment in Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN) environments, offering broadband services over copper while integrating with fiber-based backhaul. It is housed in a compact, 19-inch rack-mountable chassis and provides up to 10 slots for DSL line cards, fiber uplink modules, or service aggregation components. This modular configuration allows the system to be tailored to the specific needs of small central offices or outdoor cabinets.
The 7330 ISAM supports a wide range of access technologies including VDSL2 with vectoring, pair bonding, ADSL2+, and SHDSL, making it suitable for mixed-use environments and progressive infrastructure upgrades. Each VDSL2 card can support 48 subscriber ports, and multiple cards can be combined to deliver high-density broadband services from a single shelf.
The platform includes a robust Ethernet switching fabric, offering Gigabit Ethernet uplinks for aggregation, and is capable of supporting triple-play services such as IPTV, VoIP, and high-speed internet. It incorporates advanced traffic management capabilities with VLAN tagging, Quality of Service (QoS) enforcement, multicast replication, and subscriber authentication.
Built to carrier-grade standards, the 7330 ISAM supports redundant power inputs, hot-swappable modules, and in-service maintenance, ensuring high reliability and minimal service disruption. It can also aggregate and manage traffic from up to 24 remote DSLAMs or sealed units, making it ideal for scalable, distributed network deployments.
Management and provisioning are available through Command Line Interface (CLI), SNMP, and integration with centralized network management systems. The platform includes comprehensive monitoring and diagnostic tools to assist operators with performance management and fault resolution.
Period | Owner / Marketer | Notes |
---|---|---|
Early 2000s – 2006 | Alcatel | Originally developed under Alcatel as the ISAM platform; the 7330 model offered an 8‑slot FTTN access chassis variant of the 7302 family. |
2006 – 2016 | Alcatel‑Lucent | Marketed globally by Alcatel‑Lucent as part of the ISAM FTTN ETSI and ANSI product portfolio. 7330 shared full feature compatibility with the 7302 but in a smaller form factor. Firmware releases up to R4.5 supported this model. |
2016 – Present | Nokia | Since Nokia’s acquisition of Alcatel‑Lucent in 2016, the 7330 remains part of Nokia’s legacy ISAM platform, with support, documentation, and firmware (e.g. R4.5.03c as of early 2020s) maintained under Nokia branding. |
