ECI XDM1000

Extend the life of your ECI XDM1000 system with Carritech’s expert support services—trusted solutions that keep your legacy infrastructure running smoothly and cost-effectively.

About the ECI XDM1000

The ECI XDM 1000 is a compact, high-performance, multi-service transport platform developed for metro access, campus networks, and edge aggregation. Designed by ECI Telecom, this modular shelf supports a range of services including SDH/SONET, PDH, Ethernet and MPLS, providing converged transport over a small footprint.

Its flexible architecture allows support for point-to-point links, ring, chain, or mesh topologies and makes it ideal for transitioning from legacy TDM-based infrastructure to next-generation packet-based services. Carriers can offer Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, and Virtual LAN services with QoS and SLA guarantees, all while conserving rack space and simplifying network evolution.

Carritech supports operators using XDM 1000 deployments by sourcing shelves, common control cards, I/O modules, fan units, and power modules. We test and verify all components to ensure compatibility with legacy networks and to extend serviceability where active OEM support has ceased.

Key Features of the ECI XDM1000

  • Compact Multi-Service Shelf: Typically houses up to 12 I/O module slots and up to 11 control/common card positions in a rack-mountable chassis.
  • Modular Network Support: Supports PDH, SDH/SONET, Ethernet and MPLS interfaces within the same chassis for versatile transport service delivery.
  • Topology Flexibility: Supports multiple network configurations—such as rings, point-to-point links, mesh or chain—to adapt to various network designs.
  • High-Density Optical Support: Capable of hosting interface modules for STM‑1, STM‑4, STM‑16 or multiple Ethernet SFPs for high-capacity connectivity.
  • Service-Level Control: Provides Ethernet services with enforced QoS and SLA compliance, enabling enterprise-grade performance and reliability.
  • Field Migration Path: Designed to support upgrades to XDM‑2000 or XDM‑3000 series through predefined slot compatibility and modular migration tools.
  • Carrier-Grade Reliability: Includes hot-swappable power supplies and fan units, with standard telecom-grade design and fault tolerance.
  • Remote and Local Management: Standard support for SNMP, CLI, and centralized NMS control.
