Key Features of the Huawei Optix OSN 1800

The Optix OSN 1800 supports unified transmission of multiple services ranging from 100 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, unified switching of OWN/PLT/SDH services and automatic commissioning at the optical layer. In this way, the OptiX OSN 1800 flattens networks, reduces network deployment and O&M costs, and provides optimal solutions for various metro scenarios.

Large bandwidth
Supports 40 x 100 Gbit/s DWDM capacity, fulfilling service evolution requirements in a long term.

Unified transmission
Integrates packet, VC, and OTN switching and access into a centralized switch matrix, improving the bandwidth utilization. Integrates the MPLS-TP feature and seamless inter-networking with the OptiX OSN 9800 and 8800 to implement E2E MPLS-TP networking.

Full service scenarios
Supports various services, including E1, E3, T3, FE, GE, STM-x, 10GE, 100GE, CPRI, FC, and SAN.
Supports various service scenarios, such as fixed broadband, mobile backhaul, and leased line.

Clock
Supports 2M, 1588v2, and synchronous Ethernet clocks, meeting the clock precision requirements of WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000, and LTE/LTE-A.

Flexible installation
1U and 2U boxes can be installed in a cabinet, on the wall, or on a pole.
1U, 2U, and 5U boxes can be installed in a 19/23′ standard cabinet.

Low power consumption
The OptiX OSN 1800 adopts natural heat dissipation and uses AC/DC power.
The case-like design facilitates flexible deployment at any site.
A typical 1U chassis consumes less than 25 W, which is less than the power consumption of a table lamp.

T-SDN
As the core architecture of the next generation transport network, T-SDN features automation, virtualization, flexibility, openness, and synergy. Based on the T-SDN, the OptiX OSN 1800 implements the unified scheduling of cross-layer or cross-domain network resources and intelligent network management, and supports various APPs and innovative services.
